Winchester Johnson still holds the Saskatchewan record in the heptathlon as well as various Masters records, and has competed for Canada at the international level. He and his family live near Kerrobert where he trains athletes. Chester brings over 20 years of coaching experience to our club. Winchester met Robyn and Rebecca through Summer Games in 1996.
Robyn Milne, a Kinesiology graduate from U of S and Huskie Alumnis, competed in sprints, hurdles, relay, and the jumps in high school which made her transition to multi-event a natural transition. Robyn and Winchester both trained under the legend Lyle Sanderson. Several athletes in Lloydminster area have come through Robyn’s program as she brings a wealth of knowledge and 20 years of experience coaching.
Rebecca Atkinson, a teacher and coach of 20 years, is also a former Huskie athlete. Robyn and Rebecca met while competing at the 1994 Legion Nationals in Ottawa and have been friends ever since. Formerly coached by Alex Johnstone of Shellbrook, Rebecca found success at a provincial and national level throwing hammer, discus, shotput, javelin and weight throw.
